Responsibilities

  • Assists in recruiting and retention of volunteers via new and existing sources. Develops and executes creative approaches to inspire prospects to volunteer with LiveOnNY.
  • Contributes to the inspiring onboarding and training of volunteers that develops exceptional knowledge and skills.
  • Ensures volunteers are motivated and participatory via positive and informative communication (e.g. weekly email, website calendar, one-one calls and emails) and recognition.
  • Allocates volunteers in such a way that fully utilizes strengths (strong speakers for media/presentations, strong sales/tabling for drives…).
  • Serves as a lead helping to ensure department staff training, understanding, and consistent usage of SalesForce.
  • Develops a deep understanding of, and uncovers insights about, the respective communities served and their understanding and perception of organ donation.
  • Develops strong relationships in communities with key community influencers (individuals and organizations) ensuring those influencers understand the state of donation and compels those influencers to activation within the respective community.
  • Supports organization’s marketing effort by proactively identifying audience insights, and using those insights to help team develop and enhance marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Ensures brand health by helping to develop brand trainings, monitoring and enforcing brand standards compliance, contributing to the creation and maintenance of brand assets (e.g. the legacy), and evolving brand standards as needed
  • Creates and designs marketing materials as needed such as posters, flyers, and collateral.

 

 

 

Qualifications

Bachelor’s required, marketing or communications major preferred. Proficient with social media management across all channels. Previous experience with grassroots community engagement and volunteer services preferred. Attention to detail and strong organizational and project management skills. Strong communication skills – written and verbal.
