- Develops and coordinates community relations activities for specified faith-based campaigns within the Muslim and Interfaith Communities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, feature articles, and informational materials.
- Ability to effectively present information to senior management, public groups, and/or boards of directors. Bilingual (English/Hindi/Korean/Urdu/Spanish) a plus.
- Sets goals and develops public affairs plans with key stakeholders, advocacy groups, affiliated professional organizations, influencers, to increase awareness and education about organ, tissue donation and transplantation.
- Expected to maintain community affairs awareness within designated geographies, communities or demographics to identify potential opportunities and/or partnerships in to enhance organ and tissue donation awareness.
- Programs are developed with particular attention to Muslim ethnic and cultural diversity.

The Donation Case Worker: provides onsite response, is responsible for advocating for donation and supports families through the organ and tissue donation process. Initiates timely donation conversation with families either in person or telephonically and in collaboration with hospital partners. Maintains authorization rates that are equivalent or exceeds the national average. Supports and fosters the Mission, Vision and Core Values of LiveOnNY and its commitment to organ and tissue donation.

The Tissue Authorization Specialist- Night Shift will effectively screen, triage all incoming organ, and tissue referrals. Provide hospital personnel and all callers with prompt, efficient processing of incoming and outgoing calls. Utilize Donor Center intake best practice to fully optimize organ and tissue referral potential for donation. Primary function is to support all intake referrals and logistically communicate to hospitals and medical examiner offices for holds and obtain additional information to optimize donation approach.
