LiveOnNY is seeking a passionate, creative, and detail-oriented intern to support our Marketing & Communications team.  This is an exciting opportunity for someone interested in storytelling, digital media, and mission-driven work. You’ll gain hands-on experience social media, content development, and marketing operations — all while helping to share powerful stories that save lives.  Reporting directly to the Senior Director Marketing and social media, the ideal candidate has a strong understanding of brand marketing, social media, and digital marketing strategies, as well as an interest in working on high-impact projects.

 

EMPLOYMENT MODEL: 3 days in office (hours flexible) 

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the marketing cycle in positioning, messaging, and storytelling
  • Capture short-form video content using a smartphone for social media and internal use
  • Edit video content for multiple platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.)
  • Assist in developing compelling stories related to organ donation and transplant recipients
  • Support email list development and campaign management
  • Perform general administrative duties including scheduling, file organization, and research
  • Help brainstorm and create social and digital content to engage diverse audiences
  • Work collaboratively with various departments to ensure consistent messaging

  • Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

 

Required: At least 2 years completed in a Bachelor’s program. Background in communications, journalism, marketing, public health, or nonprofit work

  • Strong desire to learn along with professional drive
  • Organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Sense of teamwork and the ability to execute programs
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated and hardworking

Preferred: Experience with Canva, Adobe Premiere Rush, CapCut, or similar tools

  • Proactive desire to go above and beyond role requirements
  • Basic knowledge of marketing principles and industry trends

Proven aptitude in seeking creative solutions to multi-faceted challenges

 

 

Salary Range: $20-$25 per hour
