The Transportation Specialist is responsible for coordinating and optimizing transportation’s day-to-day operations to achieve business goals and operational efficiency. The Transportation Specialist manages schedules, tracks organs, liaises with couriers and ensures adherence to safety and regulatory standards. The Transportation Specialist utilizes current processes and procedures, and coordinates with other departments to ensure the safe and timely delivery of transportation services (goods, services, and people). The Transportation Specialist is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with business customers, and for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations is maintained.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics or related. A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in and demonstrated understanding of transportation and logistics operations. Excellent organizational skills required. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and logistics software and dashboards. Knowledge of the principles of quality improvement. Ability to teach, train and work as a team member.
Preferred:
Experience working with transportation and logistics services is preferred. Previous experience in a position with substantially similar responsibilities, in both level of complexity and size of the transportation operation, is preferred. Strong understanding of project management, resource allocation and milestone delivery.

Salary Range: $60,000-$74,000 annually
