The Regional Director, Hospital Engagement serves as a Director-level Hospital Engagement Coordinator and field-level operational manager within an assigned Region of LiveOnNY's Donation Service Area (DSA). The Regional Director is responsible for personally performing Hospital Engagement Coordinator responsibilities while exercising delegated field-level operational management responsibilities in support of Hospital Engagement operations throughout the assigned region.
The Regional Director performs Hospital Engagement responsibilities as an essential function of the position. Management responsibilities are exercised concurrently with operational responsibilities and do not replace the Regional Director's responsibility to maintain an active field presence, respond to donor hospitals, support donation activity, resolve operational barriers, strengthen hospital relationships, facilitate operational coordination, and perform Hospital Engagement responsibilities.
This is a field-based role. Each Regional Director is assigned primary operational responsibility for an identified region within the DSA. The regional assignment establishes the Regional Director's primary area of operational responsibility, workforce coordination, hospital relationship management, and operational accountability. Regional assignment does not limit the Regional Director's responsibility or obligation to perform Hospital Engagement responsibilities elsewhere within the DSA as directed solely by LiveOnNY.
The Regional Director may be assigned, deployed, reassigned, or temporarily detailed to any donor hospital, healthcare facility, organizational location, or other operational site within or outside the assigned region as determined by LiveOnNY to meet operational, regulatory, staffing, business continuity, emergency response, quality, educational, leadership, or other organizational needs.
The Regional Director works collaboratively, within the delegated operational framework established by Hospital Engagement Leadership, Executive Leadership, organizational policies, Executive Directives, and other organizational requirements, with all organizational departments involved in the donation process, including, but not limited to, Case Development, Family Engagement, Donor Center Operations, Allocation and Placement, Recovery, Tissue Bank, Education and Training, Operational Intelligence, Quality, Compliance, Information Technology, Legal, Human Resources, Finance, and Communications.
The Regional Director and Hospital Engagement Leadership shall coordinate and collaborate with donor hospital medical and administrative personnel and LiveOnNY departments and personnel to deliver donor hospital-based services in accordance with this Job Description, organizational policies, Executive Directives, other organizational requirements, and in furtherance of LiveOnNY's mission.
The Regional Director shall know, understand, maintain, and comply with applicable federal, state, and local statutes, regulations, and LiveOnNY organizational requirements, including, but not limited to:
PROFESSIONAL TIME COMMITMENT STATEMENT
The Regional Director role requires full-time professional dedication. Professional time must be devoted exclusively to the duties and responsibilities of the position. The incumbent must maintain readiness to respond on-site to donor hospitals, engage in donor conversations, communicate with donor hospitals, and coordinate with internal teams in accordance with LiveOnNY expectations and policies.
The Regional Director is expected to adhere to all organizational policies and applicable regulatory obligations, stewardship of resources, confidentiality, and ethical conduct, and to devote all professional time to the performance of the responsibilities of this job description and remain available to fulfill management responsibilities inside and outside standard business hours as LiveOnNY’s needs dictate.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
1. RELIABLE PERSONAL TRANSPORTATION
As this is a field-based role, the Regional Director is required to have personal reliable transportation in order to travel to, from, and between donor hospitals, healthcare facilities, corporate offices, meetings, educational programs, and other locations throughout LiveOnNY’s DSA and when required, outside the DSA to perform assigned responsibilities. Reliable personal transportation for this position means owning, or having the authorization to operate, a personal vehicle and complying with LiveOnNY’s vehicle and travel policies.
2. HOSPITAL ENGAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
The Regional Director shall personally perform Hospital Engagement Coordination responsibilities throughout the assigned Region and elsewhere within the DSA as assigned, including, but not limited to:
The Regional Director shall exercise operational management responsibilities within the framework established by Hospital Engagement Leadership, Executive Leadership, organizational policies, Executive Directives, and other organizational requirements. Management responsibilities shall be exercised concurrently with, and shall not replace, the Regional Director's responsibility to personally perform Hospital Engagement Coordinator responsibilities.

RESIDENCE AND WORK ASSIGNMENT STATEMENT
The incumbent must maintain a residence within LiveOnNY’s DSA as this role requires ongoing operational readiness and availability to deploy or report to donor hospitals, the corporate office, and other designated operational locations within the DSA, as assigned. The incumbent may be required to perform administrative or professional duties related to an active case or recent deployment from a personal residence or other non-LiveOnNY location for operational convenience during their scheduled work day, but such work does not alter the field-based operational designation of this position.
Salary Range: $110,000 - $130,000
