The Hospital Services Specialist identifies barriers, develops and implement strategies that increase organ and tissue donation in assigned hospitals within LiveOnNY's service area. Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies for tissue and organ recovery. Supervise and coordinate activities of the Quality Systems staff while supporting and fostering the mission of the organization and its commitment to tissue and organ donation.

The Organ Placement Coordinator (OPC) is accountable for all activities related to the allocation and utilization of organs from donors. This includes, but is not limited to, organ allocation for transplant and research, coordination of operating room timing, travel logistics, communication, and documentation. Receives rollover calls from Donor Center including hospital partners and donor families. Supports and fosters the mission, vision and values of LiveOnNY and its commitment to organ and tissue donation.
The Professional Support Liaison is responsible for assisting LiveOnNY staff with building coping mechanisms to resolve stressful situations they may encounter on-the-job or that may affect their job performance. This integral position offers staff guidance and resources for avoiding burnout, compassion fatigue, vicarious fatigue and other risks. The ideal candidates supports and fosters the mission, vision and core values of LiveOnNY and its commitment to organ and tissue donation. This position is available part-time (14 hours per week).
